Institutional repositories

Touring University of Pretoria and UNISA libraries has further revealed why much emphasis is continuously being laid on the need for digitization of heritage materials and subsequent establishment of institutional repositories shortly called IR. IRs projects the research output of academics in institutions of higher learning to the wider world. it makes access to these information materials much easier and also helps in ranking of institutions from academic and research standing. Let us advocate the meaning and significance of IR in our various institutions, carry our colleagues along and measure up with the trend.

Understanding 'ownself' ......HBDI

The HBDI platform reveals an individual's real self. A chat with an expert in that field will just tell you who you actually are. on this note, one can make amends where necessary in setting goals, and targets, mindset, 'self talk', interaction with others, understanding his/her own emotions and those of others, visualizing positively, influencing others positively, having positive views, acquiring sound leadership qualities and attaining a level self actualization etc. What a wonderful experience.  

Children and social media

Social networks are obviously very useful and indispensable in today's information dissemination. This notwithstanding, the parents and older ones should as a matter of fact monitor to a reasonable extent, children and youth's use of social media. This is so important especially for Children and youths still in primary and secondary schools; so that social media will not be a source of distraction but rather a useful information resource. 

For all Mothers on their special day

Mothers are precious; ever ready to love beyond measures. A Mother guards her children just like the tigeress guards her young ones; ready to lay down her life in place of her child's. Oh!!!!! A mother's love is actually beyond words. Happy mothers' day to all fellow mothers.
